Elliot Pyrdum TOS: Terms of Service

Read once, browse forever.

Content use

Our guides are free to read and free to share with credit and a link back. Do not republish whole articles, scrape the site or resell our work. Short quotes with attribution are always welcome.

No professional advice

Everything here is general information, not legal, structural or financial advice. Hire a licensed professional for your situation. Any work on a home carries risk, so follow the relevant code and manual, and act at your own risk.

Accuracy and updates

We work hard to keep prices, rules and product details current, but suppliers change terms and local codes differ. A figure that was right at publication may be out of date when you read it. Always confirm the final number with a supplier, lender or permit office before you commit money.

Third-party links

Some pages link to official bodies, suppliers and services we do not control. Those links are provided for reference, not as an endorsement of everything on the destination site. Their terms and privacy practices apply once you leave Elliot Pyrdum.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Elliot Pyrdum is not liable for losses arising from reliance on a guide, including project overruns, failed products or decisions made without professional advice. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

You agree to use the site lawfully and not to attempt to disrupt it, scrape it at a volume that affects other readers or misrepresent your connection to Elliot Pyrdum. Comments and messages must not contain threats, private information about another person or material you do not have the right to share.

These terms are governed by the laws that apply at our editorial office, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute cannot be resolved by email, the parties agree to attempt mediation before filing a claim.

Changes

We update these terms occasionally. Using the site after an update means you accept the change. Questions about the terms go to [email protected]. See also our Privacy Policy and DMCA policy.
